"Impossible Things Are Happening Everyday!"

Very rarely will I post twice a day, but yet here I am.

Since I did not post about Cinderella this week, I shall do it now!

So Cinderella takes a twist from the 1950 cartoon Disney version. Yes, the basic story line is the same, but  there are some interesting changes.

For instance, the new Broadway version gives the audience better insight to Prince Topher and his struggle to become a great king, as well a former revolutionary (Jean-Michel) who tries to address the fact that not all is well in the kingdom. Plus, there is a ball (where Ella is frank to Prince Topher about the state of the kingdom) and a banquet the next night (where Ella loses her shoe).

I like this version a lot better than the older versions. The musical now seems more well-rounded and addresses more issues besides the Prince looking for Cinderella and the characters don't just magically appear and disappear--they have a resolution!

Since I'm still upset I couldn't link the transformation scene from Cinderella Jr, I will post of the transformation scene on Broadway, with Laura Osnes (bless her) as Cinderella and Rebecca Luker as Crazy Marie/Fairy Godmother.
